Yes Sensei Shane is a real person (that’s me) but as an organisation, we are family and community focused with one purpose: To Empower People through Martial Arts. Be that families, communities or individuals. Our Mission is to have a positive impact in our Community. Our vision is to Empower whanau (families) through Martial Arts; Creating Young Leaders in our Community; and my personal endeavour is to bring Greater Awareness to Bullying, through engagement and education.
Tessa (my beautiful wife) is Managing Director, a skilled and clever business women with a Bachelor of Management Studies Degree from the University of Waikato New Zealand. She majored in Accounting, then went on to work in the Chartered Accounting Industry both here in New Zealand and in the UK. The skills she has learnt from this profession have served us well in operating our business. Her attention to detail and organisational skills make my job super easy! Let’s call her Boss Lady!

Shane Wallacehoskin ‘ Sensei Shane’ holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Jeff Speakmans Kenpo 5.0 Martial Art.
Shane is the man at the front of everything we do. He is passionate, approachable, humorous and has a love of helping people do better and be better in whatever their path is. He is an accomplished Martial Artist and Sportsman, having represented New Zealand in Kenpo 5.0 Karate and for Rugby League , in the New Zealand Maori 2004 Rugby League Team. Shane has worked in many Primary and Secondary Schools delivering our innovative community programmes, and teaches Kenpo 5.0 to hundreds of kids and adults.

My name is Shane Wallacehoskin. I am a father of five and 4th degree Black Belt. As a family we have a vision to Empower as many kids as we can through Martial Arts, I have also made it my Personal Mission to STOMP OUT BULLYING!
I am also a Qualified Personal Trainer. I hold an Executive Personal Training Certificate, Gym Trainer Certificate, Crossfit Level 1 Certificate and various other certification in First Aide, Poupou Te Huia Level 4 Te Reo Maori and Certificate in Adult Teaching and Learning. I am a life long learner with a passion for helping people.

My name is Tessa, I am basically the brains behind the scenes. My background is Accountancy however I love the autonomy of being in business and working around the needs of our four children at home. I like to ensure everything is operating efficiently and that Shane has everything he needs to deliver our programmes effectively. I also have a keen interest in developing our Mara-kai and learning enhancing my Rongoa knowledge. I love looking after people, providing good structures, opportunities and am grateful I get to live my passions everyday.
We also have an awesome TEAM of professionals with skills that add immense value to what we do. We also have a KENPO FAMILY, in Taranaki; in New Zealand and Worldwide. We could not do what we do, without these amazing like-minded and valued individuals, who make up ‘OUR TEAM’.
Our Mentor is Mr. Jeff Speakman. He is a truly inspirational and impactful influence in our lives. His values, leadership and desire to Do Good in this world, Making a Difference worldwide, makes him our greatest hero. His connection to Aotearoa (New Zealand) and Te Ao Maori (our culture) makes him and Kim (Mrs Speakman) family to us.
You will see, in everything we do, our family and children are very actively involved. Our 3 daughters all hold a Black Belt, and our 2 sons (although only 8 and 5) will be by the time they reach 10!
Martial Arts is the basis of what we do. But Family and being Parents is our Foundation. When we couple Martial Arts and Family, it brings us to our Passion of helping Families and helping our Community. We achieve this through teaching Martial Arts. We know that Martial Arts empowers people. Especially with coping with Bullying and in the changing environment we are experiencing with COVID-19. We have therefore, set about creating multiple methods, paths and opportunities in our delivery of Martial Arts. Our products and services are primarily Martial Arts based but very diverse in delivery.
We have both a physical and virtual presence. We are able to reach Parents/Caregivers; Kids; Teachers; Schools; Organisation’s. as well as have products for Business to Business Support.
